TOWN PASTORS - WHO ARE THEY, AND WHAT DO THEY DO?

About us!

Town Pastors, working in pairs, wearing distinctive bright jackets and headgear, are Christian volunteers from local churches out on Saturday nights from 10pm until the early hours.

They provide a positive influence in the town backed by a prayer team, some of whom pray at our base in town, whilst others pray from home. All Town Pastors receive comprehensive initial and ongoing training, have enhanced DBS checks, and sign up to a standard protocol before being commissioned.

Town Pastors are available to serve our community, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and chat, offer support to vulnerable people, regardless of their faith or background, showing concern and offering non-judgemental, unconditional practical help, are available to help defuse troubleand support Police and emergency services in keeping people safe.
